When siblings Aiden and Kari Winters discover that an old family heirloom leads to a fantastic world, their haphazard use of the old crystal globe leaves them stranded. The two search for a way home, but discover strange abilities of their own, unlike anything found on Earth. As they become embroiled in the politics of the kingdom of Lavelle, the bickering brother and sister discover more about themselves and their family in this strange world.

Chapter One:
The Crystal Globe and The Yellow Amber

Aiden Winters wants nothing more than to “get away,” and has the opportunity to do just that when he discovers a family heirloom has the mysterious ability to transport him to another world. He introduces his sister, Kari Winters, to the globe, but the two can’t agree on what to do with it. When Aiden goes ahead into the world, Kari decides to follow– and gets stuck. With mysterious masked men and “deer-men” on the prowl, will Kari find a way home safely? Where is Aiden?

Chapter Two:
The Red Amber and the Deer-Men

Aiden, lost in the forest, sits contemplating the piece of red amber that has embedded in his arm. He is attacked by deer-men and nearly escapes, but he is caught by a third deer-man hiding in the trees.

Meanwhile, Kari and the mysterious stranger, Ashton, struggle to find a way out of the forest when they are met by another stranger. He offers to help them escape, but he and Ashton do not trust each other. Can Kari trust either of them? Where is Aiden?

Chapter Three
The Forest is Watching

While Kari, Ashton and the “simple woodsman” Rio hurry through the forest, they discover they are being pursued. Their first encounter with their followers turns out to be forest creatures who are strangely fascinated with Kari, but they are quickly besieged by another, more frantic party.

Aiden and the unmasked deer-man, Xan, draw closer… but so do the other deer-men, and they’re out for blood! When parties clash in violent confrontation, who will be safe? When reunited, how will Kari and Aiden get home?
