It’s terribly ironic that Rio is talking about having a lead, because this is the page where I lost mine. This is a train wreck and I have excuses, but they all kind of stink.
I went to SPX this weekend, and I lost a day of work to minicomics prep, but I’d prepared for it and budgeted time to make it up over the weekend I was away at the con, and I probably WOULD have if I hadn’t forgotten my laptop’s power cord. WHOOPS!
So, I set out today to finish the page, and I think I’m being punished by a fire elemental for being so irresponsible over the weekend because I’ve had some really really nasty overheating problems with both my car and my computer today. I lost a lot of time sitting around hoping my engine didn’t burst into flames, and then I lost a lot of work when I started up this evening when my computer (despite its new fan!) overheated. I guess that’s karma for you, though!
Anyway, my point is, the show must go on. I’m posting the ink version of this now, and then I’m moving on to Friday’s page so I can get my ass back on track. I’ll do the second half of this update on Saturday, when I’ll have this page toned. Then I’m going to try to do a picture to make up for the hassle, once I catch up to myself!
I’m so mad at myself for doing this! I’ve been doing so well with my time management, but then I had to blow it! :(

No worries! The point of managing your time carefully is to help keep things mostly in order for when something unexpected does happen. Either way, love the new page! To be honest, it’s very interesting to me to see a page on the inking step compared to the toned pages. o.o

OMG! They’re on the same side!!! I wonder if Rio is racing the other guy to someplace?

The reason they need a good lead is bipedal and a little less cute.
